WHAT AM I DOING NOW?

Practicing in Mexico in 2007 |
I have spent 2008 reconciling the two techniques I have learned in my life, incorporating things that Mario Feninger taught me to the Taubman technique which got me back from my injury. This has been a fascinating experience, as my technique has now become more solid and yet capable of subtle nuances, different colors and a distinct singing tone.
The two most important projects I am involved now as a pianist are getting to perform my First Piano Concerto with different orchestras and appearing in recital with a program based on the CD Almost Songs.
A third project, which is at its inception, is to make another recording. I am in the process of selecting some pieces I have already written in order to create a CD that will offer a different side of my musical personality.

But my main interest now is to bring my Almost Songs to all kinds of publics, be it the traditional classical music fan, the avant-guard music fan or to people that have not had much access to classical music in their lives but would like to hear something different. |
This last category is probably the one I am most interested in as I feel that classical music has been an enormous source of joy, pleasure and even comfort in my life and I figure it can play the same role in the lives of many more people than it does now.
So I'm trying to bring my music both to traditional concert venues and to not so traditional places. If you are interested in hosting an event, you can contact me. If you want to see me in concert, go to my calendar of appearances and see where you can catch me. I hope to see you soon.
